Now weddings are something that a lot of college students start experiencing because it is at this point in our lives that friends are starting to make that step towards their futures. This is both an exciting and stressful time for them because there is so much to do and so much to plan. Weddings can be very exciting, especially if you were able to call the outcome of the relationship from when it first began. Such was the case with a wedding I was in last fall. So, the first (and only) wedding I have been in so far was for someone I had been friends with since middle school. And no, we still do not talk about those awkward middle school days of braces and the awful chorus shirts we had to wear. Anyway, I flew back to Georgia to be one of her bridesmaids and I have some tips and tricks for you if you are going to be in someone’s wedding anytime soon.

1. Find out if (especially if you are a bridesmaid) you are responsible for your own hair and makeup or if will be professional done

2. If you are traveling, make sure you have your dress/suit with you (that would be awkward…)

3. MAKE SURE THERE IS A STEAMER AVAILABLE (you’ll thank me later)

4. Be supportive! Your friend will be stressed out on that day because there are so many things happening and they are wanting it to be perfect

5. Be ready for pictures on time

6. Make sure you are drinking water throughout the day, especially if it is during the summer

7. Wear shoes that you can walk in and are comfortable

8. If your dress is sleeveless or strapless, I highly recommend getting some of the spray deodorant so it will not show on the dress

9. If you’re taking a date, make sure they will make the event more fun and not add more stress to the day

10. Last, but not least, have fun! Celebrate your friend starting a new stage of their life with the one they love!

Got any more tips or tricks? Let me know in the comments down below!

That is awesome !!! I bet it was an experienced of a lifetime. I've never been in a wedding but I have attended one before. Thank you for the tips just in case I am in a wedding in the near future. What was the atmosphere like on the wedding day? and how did it make you feel seeing you friend walk down the aisle?
